We got lucky Mom and Dad stopped everything about 2:00 pm to make sure we got a great Memorial Day walk. Mom said she expected everyone to be spending time with family and the woods would be empty. Unfortunately she was wrong, but we had a fun walk anyway. Off we go!!

We got all our walking things sticks, gloves shoes for Mom and Dad and water and leashes and treats for us. It was a beautiful sunny day 76 F (a little warm for us) perfect for our humans. Mom set off for the triple falls believing that area would have the most water for us to play. They were walking slowly giving us time to sniff all the things that were back there since our last trip a couple of months ago.

Since there are no paths in that direction, it was a bit of a rough go through some pretty high, thick foliage. Mom always wears long sleeves to keep the brambles, bushes, etc. from scratching her arms and keep the bugs off.

As we started to get closer to the triple falls we heard people already there, so we just headed for the water where we were. Mica and I were getting really warm and needed to cool off. The spot we picked was nice and had quite a bit of water.

Ahhh, this water feels good! Mom decided to sit down and just let us enjoy the water for a while.

Dad finally walked over and told us it was treat time. Now who would pass up treats?

If you see the tall plant between Mom and us, that is poison ivy. That plant was as tall as Mom so you can see the poison ivy is thriving again this year. It is everywhere you look.

Dad said lets head downstream toward the big falls. We headed downstream

We had to get back up in the woods because of all the rocks.

We cooled off for a minute at the top of the falls and were getting ready to go down for a swim when some people walked up. So we had to head on through the woods to a small water hole.

The waterhole was not very big, but it kept us cool until we could head back to the falls. Finally the people had moved on and we got to have a nice swim.
